CGi revamps www.thecgi.net website

Release date: 08/06/2007

Today, the CGi (Confederation of Guernsey Industry) is re-launching its new website, designed to provide up-to-date news and information services to companies operating in Guernsey’s light industry sector.

The CGi is a membership body which represents the commercial interests of the Island’s light industry sector.

The body is fronted by a committee which is responsible for championing new initiatives on behalf of its membership. The project to revise the Confederation’s website is an example of one such initiative.

The new website, compiled by the committee with the support of member company, Design Village, provides an insight into the activities of the CGi operation, offers a resource of useful business links for local companies and highlights local issues which affect the Confederation’s members.

Chairman of the CGi committee, Philip Duquemin, explains why the site has been revised,

“We wanted to upgrade the site’s image and content to deliver an information portal that will add value to our members in particular and local companies at large.

Phase two of the project is now underway and will include a dedicated member area through which we plan to provide a range of value added service to CGI members.”

The website can be found at www.thecgi.net
