CGi priorities for 2021

Hello everyone

This is our first communication of 2021 and provides me with an opportunity to detail news and developments from your Federation and this year’s priorities.

In 2020, a key objective was to work with the G4 to improve the proposed Anti-Discrimination Law. The pandemic took precedence during the middle part of the year so we liaised closely and regularly with politicians and senior civil servants to support Guernsey industry over three/four months.

Our key policy areas for 2021 are:

  • Work to further support the CGi membership
  • Try to remove completely or lessen the impact of the Population Management Law on our members and industry
  • Work with the G4 to improve the Anti-Discrimination legislation that will become law in this political term
  • Continue to engage with senior civil servants and politicians in areas that help CGi member organisations

Our Annual General Meeting is scheduled for quarter one of 2021, around the end of February/early March and I will write to you separately on this in the coming weeks.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for your support and to look forward to seeing you at the AGM.

Best regards

Clive
