Closure of Start-Up not good news for business

The CGI is very disappointed to learn that Start-Up Guernsey is to close and be replaced by a collection of separate organisations. Over the past 20 years, Tony Brassell and his team at Start-Up have supported hundreds of local entrepreneurs and businesses establish and develop on the island and the CGi cannot see how four different groups can provide the same level of expertise and focus. CGi welcomes review of discrimination law

The CGi, as one of the G4 business groups locally, welcomes the Committee for Employment & Social Security‚Äôs (ESS) decision to refocus its anti-discrimination legislation proposals on a more limited scope and with some adjustments to the originally proposed approach. We would like to restate that we are fully in favour of anti-discrimination legislation and that support has been made clear at every stage of the consultation process.
